The AOWD is described by PADI as refining skills allowing the diver to explore a broader variety of diving to maximum depth of 30 meters (100ft)
The PADI scuba diver course is a subset of the Open Water Diver course. instead of completing 5 classroom sessions, 5 pool dives and 4 open water dives. scuba divers complete 3 classroom sessions, 3 pool dives and just 2 open water dives.
